Today I went to church with Sara. There was enough international students that 2 translators had to sit with us. I especially noticed Asians. The building, worship, & sermon was very similar to anything I would find at home. Of course, the preacher wasn't near as good as mine. After service, you can eat ficka, which is a very popular snack. It's a buttery sugary biscuit, with cream on the top, covered in dried chocolate. It's a donut equivalent. Then we ate lunch at Subway, went to the UBK cathedral, looked around the square at different shops, & went to McDonald's. Tonight was an international student Bible study back at the church. I believe it was the 1st night for this. The new American missionary is planning a lot of activities for this church that I hope will keep me busy! When I got home I found out that I am living between 2 Christian Asian girls! I found that to be soooo exciting!!!!!
Here are some random pictures to give an idea of what Vaxjo is like.....

Typical street.

Yup, there's a McDonald's! I got a cappuccino there & it was really disgusting!
The square is very good for shopping.
And there's a Subway! We ate lunch there.
This is what the traffic is like all over Vaxjo. Those circles are everywhere...kinda like finding stop lights on Lincoln Ave. They have to stop at these circles if the is a pedestrian.

Hi Really enjoyed your pictures. It looks like a very inviting place to be. The church is beautiful. More later.

I want to know what they sell in the Linnea store. Little, blonde, ditzy cheerleaders?
